ANZAC Commemorations – Volunteers and Donations Required

This is a great week for the P&C, as we get to be involved in the School’s ANZAC commemorations. Each year, we gather to prepare rosemary lapel pins for dignitaries and parents who attend our special ceremony, as well as incredible floral wreaths which are laid during that ceremony by invited guests.

If anyone is interested in volunteering and being part of this special event, please email deeboxall@gmail.com ASAP.

We are seeking the following:

Donations of flowers and greenery

-to be delivered to LA 7 no later than 8.30am on Thursday 22 April 2021.

1pm Wednesday 21 April 2021

Rosemary lapel pin making – no experience required

– approx 1 hour to make 100 lapel pins

– please meet in LA 7

8.30am Thursday 22 April 2021

Floral wreath making – no experience required

– approx 2 hours to make 10 wreaths and assorted bouquets

– please meet in LA 7

Both activities are being led by our past President, Leonie Gurr, as unfortunately out going President, Deb Boxall has had back surgery during the holidays and unable to assist.  Leonie has coordinated this activity for several years and makes it a lot of fun to be involved with!  Please note Leonie will only be present at the Thursday activity. We are so grateful for her help!

It really is a lot of creative fun and represents an important part of the day.
