In Year 3, we have been learning about measuring mass in Mathematics. We have been using digital and analogue scales to measure and compare the mass of objects in our classroom in grams and kilograms. We have found that the digital scales are much more accurate than the balance and analogue scales!
In Reading, we have been celebrating the CBCA Book Week – Curious Creatures, Wild Minds. Our focus text has been ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendack. We have been practising creating images in our minds when listening to and reading texts. We have drawn these images created in our ‘mind movies’ and explained what we have drawn and why. We have been doing lots of fun activities linked with Book Week such as creating our own Curious Creatures and writing about them.
