Around the Classrooms – 29 October 2020

Students in Year 3 were learning to measure volume & capacity in Mathematics this week.  Students had an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the difference between volume and capacity. They engaged in practical activities to compare the capacity of different containers and measure the volume using millilitres and litres. They worked in groups and independently to solve authentic problems; using the Campbell Problem Solving process to find a solution. The students had lots of fun and displayed the value of resilience!

In Literacy, the Year 4 students have been learning to identify figurative language in texts and explain the author’s meaning. They have also been busy being poets and writing entertaining poems.
