Book Week 2019 swept across Campbell Primary School last week as we celebrated and embraced this year’s theme, ‘Reading is My Secret Power’.
On Wednesday we had our annual Book Week parade, which showcased amazing and creative costumes that were inspired by some of our most loved and well known book characters. It was wonderful to see students, staff and our wider Campbell community enjoying the morning together.
Students also spent time visiting their buddy classrooms to share the books that they had written after attending the ‘Author in Residence’ presentation by Ms Van Der Wielen. The work that was produced highlighted what creative and talented writers we have!
The many other classroom activities that were completed around this year’s theme will be on display throughout the school, so please keep an eye out for these.
We hope to see all of our students continue to utilise their ‘secret power’ of reading, developing a life-long love of books.
