Dear Parents/Carers,
To celebrate Book Week this year students will be participating in a Character Parade on Wednesday 21 October 2020. This event is an opportunity to connect our young Campbell readers with books and inspire a love of reading. The theme this year is ‘Curious Creatures, Wild Minds’. Parades will take place in the following areas between 8.50am – 9.15am.
Kindy and Pre primary – Basketball Courts
Year 1 to Year 6 – Oval
We hope parents will be able to attend and enjoy the morning, however we request that viewing takes place behind the fenced off areas of these locations to maintain social distancing requirements.
On this day, students can wear a costume that represents a character or an element of their favourite book. It is encouraged that a copy or a picture of the chosen text also be brought along to school to share during the parade and within classrooms.
The wonderful activities and learning opportunities that the students participate and engage in will also be able to be accessed through our School Website and Facebook page.
Please note that if your child is in Kindy A, their parade and dress up opportunity will take place on Tuesday 20 October 2020.
