COVID-19 From the Principal 6 April 2020 4.00pm

Dear Parents/Carers,

I do hope all is going well at home for you, and that you and your family are well. We greatly appreciate that many of our families are working through the suggested work provided through class teachers for the last couple of weeks of term, this no doubt will assist in providing some continuity of learning for your children. As you would be aware, Term 1 has now officially ended, with this week being provision of supervision of students only. All staff are, however, still at work and are very focused in their teams on planning and professional learning in order to complete a combination of on-line work, hard copy packages and face to face teaching for Term 2. You can imagine this requires a great deal of thought, planning and upskilling. As such, I request that you direct any queries you have regarding your child through to the Executive Team, as our teachers do not have time to respond to individual parent questions at this time. If your query is urgent please contact the Executive Leader for your child’s year level:

Kindergarten, Pre-Primary, Year 1 and Year 2- Mrs Marshall

Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 – Mrs Slee

Year 6- Ms Bates

Class teachers will be in contact very early next term to advise you of your child’s work package.  They will be making regular contact with all families in Term 2.

Parents are advised that there is additional information on our Campbell Primary School website. Please go to the Learning from Home tab to access information on routines, student wellbeing, Department resources and video tutorials for parents.

I thank you all for your support of our school as we have been managing the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on schools. Your words of encouragement and support in keeping your children home if possible has been greatly appreciated. We also wish to say thank you to the many families that work within the medical profession as we know these times must also be particularly challenging for you all.

I also wish to thank and acknowledge the work of our staff as they have navigated their way through this situation which has required them to be so flexible.

We look forward to the school returning to its happy, vibrant space, with our beautiful energised students, in what I hope is the near future.

Stay well.

Lynne Bates
