This term ELA5 learnt the story ‘Karana – the story of the Father Emu’. This is a story retold by Uncle Joe Kirk, an elder of the Wakka Wakka people, near Brisbane. The emu plays a significant part in Wakka Wakka culture. He symbolises the father figure who nurtures the whole family. Our ELA5 students did an amazing job presenting the story on Thursday 6 June 2019. Well Done!
