Bush Pixie Gabby is a talented singer and storyteller who visited Kindergarten students recently to take them on a Bush Christmas adventure. She engaged students as they sat listening to her retell an old story favourite; Snuggle Pot and Cuddle Pie. Gabby used a number of props to enhance her expressive narrating and songs that students were able to get up and dance to. Student reflections advise teachers that they had a fun time and really enjoyed the experience. The incursion demonstrated to students that stories do not have to always be read from a book and that they certainly are a fun way to learn about things.
