Water Wise

Campbell Primary School has helped to contribute to a sustainable water future by ensuring participation in water themed learning as a Waterwise school since 2007. The intention is to educate children with water saving attitudes and behaviours so that they appreciate water as a precious resource.

There are many special event days throughout each year that teachers can integrate, encourage and incorporate water information. One of the most important events is National Water Week in October. Being part of WA Water Corporations Education Resource; Waterwise Schools Program, allows staff access to professional learning, curriculum linked resources and lessons (including excursions) based on the many different ways water impacts our lives. There are also fact sheets and reference materials showing the significant connection traditional Aboriginals lifestyle placed on water sources.
