For over a decade City of Gosnells have hosted events with authors and illustrators at local schools and libraries. This year the program has been expanded to offer a writing competition for children aged 7 – 12 who live or attend school within City of Gosnells.
The writing competition will be tied to the theme of Book Week, which in 2019 is ‘Reading is my secret power’. The competition is now open and closes 9 August 2019. Entries will be displayed in libraries within City of Gosnells during Children’s Book Week with finalists notified on 23 August 2019. The competition will conclude with a small awards ceremony in early September.
