Last week in our lead up to Book Week 2019 the Kindy to Year 5 classes were lucky enough to attend an ‘Author in Residence’ presentation, provided by our very own published children’s author and teacher at Campbell Primary School, Ms Lisa Van Der Wielen.
Students were given an insight into the book making process along with valuable information about developing creative and well written stories. It was then back to classrooms to participate in a writers’ workshop where individual or class books were created around the theme for Book Week, ‘Reading is my Secret Power’. The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were very excited to become authors of their own book creations. The finished products will be on display in classrooms over the coming weeks for your child to share with you.
