On Thursday 24 October 2019, ELA1 was very excited to perform their assembly item in front of a wonderful Campbell audience. The students shared the story of Kookoo the Kookaburra who learns with his animal friends about the value of kindness. A selection of children then shared some personal connections that they had made with the text. The item concluded with a rendition of an old favourite ‘Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree’.
We hope everyone enjoyed watching the item, as much as the children enjoyed performing it.
