Our Science teacher, Pamela Lumsden attended the Australian Science Teacher Association annual conference in Sydney during the school holidays. Here, she presented an assessment tool that she is currently working on with other Science specialists in her network. The assessment tool; START, (Science Teaching, Assessment and Recording Tracker) provides Science Specialists and classroom teachers with a resource that assists planning, teaching and assessment of students fairly and efficiently during the course of Primary School. When completed, the tracking tool is expected to be available to all schools through STAWA, (Science Teachers Association of Western Australia), in a digital format.
